Handcrafted Furniture. Family-Crafted Values.

Our Story

Woodforest Furniture was founded nearly a decade ago by Gary Moyse, a seasoned furniture expert with over 30 years of experience in the furniture industry. Gary built the business with a simple but powerful belief: that everyone deserves access to heirloom-quality furniture at a fair price. His vision brought together trusted Amish craftsmanship, genuine hardwood, and a commitment to honest value — the kind of quality that lasts for generations.

As the business grew, Gary passed the torch to his son, Chris Moyse, who now proudly leads Woodforest into its next chapter. Chris learned everything he knows from his father — not just about furniture, but about running a business with integrity, patience, and purpose. Under his leadership, the company continues to grow while staying true to the same values it was built on.

Woodforest is, at its core, a family business. From showroom to delivery, every member of the team plays a vital role in making sure customers feel welcomed, cared for, and confident in what they’re bringing into their homes. We work together, like a family should — and that’s exactly how we treat our customers too.

Built By Hand. Backed By Heritage.

When you buy from Woodforest, you’re not just bringing home furniture — you’re investing in something real. Each piece we offer is handcrafted by one of over 80 skilled Amish builders we proudly partner with, each one a master of their craft. These are artisans who have spent decades perfecting their techniques — working with genuine American hardwood, building every joint by hand, and finishing each piece with care and precision.

From dining tables to bedroom sets, cabinets to custom orders, the quality is unmistakable. There are no shortcuts here. No assembly lines. No gimmicks. Just time-honored craftsmanship backed by generations of knowledge — and a family business committed to doing things the right way.

Rooted in Tradition.

Built for Generations.

At Woodforest Furniture, we believe your home deserves more than mass-produced pieces and fleeting trends. That’s why every piece we craft is made to last — with real hardwood, honest craftsmanship, and a deep respect for tradition.

Why We Do What We Do

At the heart of it, we’re here to help people create meaningful spaces.

We believe that furniture should be more than functional — it should hold stories, bring people together, and stand the test of time. That’s why we do what we do, and it’s why we’re so passionate about getting it right, every time.
